Dr. Casagrande: In my practice, I feel very strongly about being able to serve all levels of patient care no matter what their social economic status is. I had the honor of meeting Professor Brånemark and even speaking in front of him numerous times. Professor Brånemark died with a very strong desire wanting to provide a lot more of the world with an excellent implant-supported result.
I recently attended an international symposium in Italy, where 32 different countries were represented, where there was open and frank conversation about what type of techniques are being used, especially in European and other countries, that offer a decreased cost to the provider and, therefore, allows us to treat patients with an excellent restoration at a much better value.
